Kim concentrates her practice on tort liability. She is an experienced trial litigator focusing on construction, transportation, premises, fire loss and products liability. As part of her transportation experience, Kim has served as a Rapid Response attorney working to address transportation losses with clients and insurers immediately after they occur in order to gather and preserve evidence. Kim is also a certified mediator.
Kim obtained her undergraduate degree from Indiana University (Go Hoosiers!) in 1984 and her JD in 1991 from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law. She joined the Firm in 1996 where she quickly became a partner and then a managing Director. Kim is known for her common sense approach to litigation and her ability to identify tactics for early resolution. This approach has led Kim to dedicate a portion of her practice to training associate litigators in the Firm on trial room tactics and efficient file resolution. She has been a guest speaker for various organizations and companies where she has presented on the topics of toxic torts, trucking limitation, pre-litigation investigation tactics and documentation, internal construction loss investigation and documentation, and paralegal trial assistance.
Kim is active in the National Association of Minority and Women Owned Law Firms (NAMWOLF) where she sat on the Board of Directors for 8 consecutive years. She has been honored to be a recipient of the Indianapolis Bar Association, Litigation Section, Civility Award. She is also a Distinguished Fellow in the Indianapolis Bar Association.
