CAFO/AFO or Concentrated Animal Feeding Operations/Animal Feeding Operations have become a significant source of litigation in Indiana and nationally over the last several years. These lawsuits are generally brought by neighboring landowners for nuisance, trespass, bodily injury and negligence resulting from the intrusion of animal waste and odor onto the property of others.
Our CAFO/AFO attorneys have considerable experience in defending farmers and their corporate partners against nuisance claims and against claims of spills leeching into public waterways.
