Steve originates from the Kokomo, Indiana area. After graduating from Ball State University in 1985, he attended law school in Washington, D.C. at The Washington College of Law at The American University, obtaining his law degree in 1989. While at The American University, he served as a law clerk in the U.S. Department of Justice and represented individual veterans before the U.S. Board of Veteran Appeals in Washington, D.C. After returning to Indiana, Steve worked for an insurance defense firm in Carmel, Indiana, before joining the Firm as an attorney in 2013.

For the last 31 years, Steve’s primary area of practice has been in the insurance defense field. He has served as lead counsel in a multitude of insurance related cases, including those involving Products Liability, Torts, Uninsured/Underinsured Motorists disputes, Insurance Coverage issues, Arson/Fraud claims and Worker’s Compensation disputes. He has served as counsel in numerous Jury trials in both State and Federal Courts. He has extensive appellate experience and has presented arguments to the Indiana Supreme Court and the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit.
